The cure for the common coordinator

SCROLL DOWN

The cure for the common coordinator

Kelsey Berry, a Martha’s Vineyard native, is as much a party-goer as she is a party-thrower! This keeps her innovative style on the forefront of the wedding industry as the island has long been a summer destination for America’s elite and holds rank as one of the top five wedding and event destinations in the United States.

Kelsey holds a BS in Marketing from Johnson & Wales University (Miami, FL) and Diploma of Design from The School of Fashion Design (Boston, MA). After graduating and a few years of living abroad, she came home to earn her planning nous via stint as event manager at The Harbor View Hotel & Resort before moving on to a Washington D.C.-based, boutique planning firm that covers the island as well. Often tapped for her extensive local connections, the former fashion designer is also known for her laid-back (yet, professional!) nature and luxe taste. And though she specializes in high-end wedding planning, she is no diva—for one client, she spent a day covering a field of dirt with hay by hand and another atop 30ft scaffolding meticulously hanging glass lanterns.......all in a pencil skirt!

Convinced you don’t need a wedding planner? Think again. The average bride (without a planner) spends over 300 hours planning her wedding. Much of that time is spent looking for vendors and then meeting with one after the other until you find the perfect match. Lucky for you, Kelsey has already done the homework and has formed relationships with quality vendors. Her vast personal knowledge of the island coupled with enthusiasm (and maybe a dash of OCD) will be an invaluable resource to help turn your wedding from concept to a complete reality!
